Introducing Maci Garcia
About me
Hi! I'm Maci Garcia and I'm currently an Associate Social Media Strategist at Buzzfeed.
I knew I wanted to be a part of the media industry when I ran a fan update account on Twitter @5SOSUpdatesLA and was invited to the 2014 and 2015 American Music Awards to live-tweet the event and observed how the award show functioned on-camera and off. It fascinated me how much hard work it took to make the show function smoothly and look as seamless as it does on television.
My love for the industry grew as I interned for 1iota Productions at Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Atlantic Records, Rhino Entertainment, and Focus Features while I pursued my B.A. in CTVA Entertainment Media Management and a minor in Interactive Marketing at California State University, Northridge.
On a personal note, I run a small business called Mualcaina where I sell enamel pins, vinyl stickers, ita bags, and more. I am also training to run my 11th Los Angeles Marathon in 2022.
